Sproing!

A few recent sightings on walks in the woods from late March through the first week in April. The Skunk Cabbage (Symplocarpus foeditus) with its weird flower (spadix = a ball of tiny flowers) tucked inside the marbled spathe is one of my favorites. All of these have made their way into my poems in one place or another.
